I think the "rutabaga-shaped" Tsuno Tsuno is based on treehoppers. Well, a sort of treehopper anyways (they're a diverse lot!).

don't know if this will interest anyone here, but that famous Dreamcast commercial wherein Sonic DJs showed up in the demo reel:

It's no real surprise that the same company -- which has been part of DreamWorks since -- was also responsible for Antz and Homer³ considering how expensive it was to start up something so cutting edge, yet I never would've made the connection.

I don't suppose anyone knows which version of Joust that ad was meant for?

Turns out it's an alternate Atari 2600 ad. I wasn't aware there was another besides this gem.

I'm sure you're glad I got to the bottom of this mystery!
